Not much is known about this Robin fellow. He was one of the original cast members of Hair, and one of
the longest-lasting members, too. We don’t know when or where he was born, what he did before becoming
a hairy guy, or what he has done since. But while he was a hairy guy, he met songwriting legend Jeff Barry–
half of the RAINDROPs–who was starting up a new record label–Steed, which would later succeed with
Andy Kim and ILLUSION–and in need of talent. Together, they grooved and groomed nearly a dozen tunes.
“Lay a Little Lovin’ on Me” was one of those creations. A lot of the brothers and sisters bought that record,
and it almost smoked its way into the establishment’s Top 10.
