They were no  Sonny & Cher; nor April Stevens & Nino Tempo.   In fact, were it not for the fluke flight of

their one tame tune,  Gino (b. Aristedes/aka Harry Giosasi) and Gina (b. Irene) Giosasi, the brother-

and-sister team from Brooklyn, might only be known  today for their tangential relationship to the hit

“Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home).”  Gino Giosasi and Artie Zwirn, Gino & Gina’s manager, wrote the

song for THE IMPALAS and hooked the youngsters up with MGM’s Cub subsidiary.

 .

The two Gs had a few more 45s issued by Mercury and in 1961 by Brunswick.  Gino, possibly in 1960 or

so, tried for a solo bid with something called “Hand Clappin’ Time.”  If the siblings had kept “Sorry” for

themselves, it is possible that their fading names could have been absent from this book.
